Seafood Lunch

Savor Vanuatu’s local produce by dining at La Tentation Restaurant. The most fresh vegetables, fruits, chicken, beef and lobster are sourced by local Ni-Vanuatu Farmers and Fishermen and brings these to the plates and palates of La Tentation customers.

Since farming is seasonal in Vanuatu, expect specific ingredients to be unavailable all through the year. Fortunately, La Tentation’s specials board fills in these gastronomical gaps as based on currently available local produce.

Seasonal meals include lobster in garlic butter, mornay or grilled with lemon juice; Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi; Freshwater Prawns; Popinet or Moreton Bay Bus, also known as Slipper Lobster; and La Tentation’s Seafood Platters.

Also stocked all year round are Tusker branded beers from the nearby Vanuatu Brewery. Tusker is a one-of-a-kind beer specially made for the South Pacific. It has a full flavor and a light body.

If you want to get a taste of Tusker, simply say to the waiter: “Mi wantem Tusker.”

Besides Tusker, other popular wines and beers can also be had as well as innovative Martini Menus and cocktails.

For a limited time each year, cuisines from every part of the globe are served via Le Tentation’s Festivals of the World. Taste German, Greek, Croatian, Spanish, Italian fare or more.

If you simply want a snack or a light dinner, La Tentation is open during the afternoon to offer you cakes, light meals or handmade chocolates.

Trip Advisor Reviewer “Paul E” likes La Tentation’s tuna steaks and calls it “..the best!”

“The food was brilliant and well priced. Great location and relaxing atmosphere. Service was attentive and friendly.”

Trip Advisor Senior Reviewer “100Dm2” describes the restaurant as a “Nice evening place.”

“Nice situation, good selection of meals and courteous staff. Meals quite expensive and perhaps a bit well cooked! Usual percentage added onto credit card!”

However, Trip Advisor Senior Contributor “pingsandmark” will not be returning to La Tentation.

“Lunch was a little pricey for what it was. The food was ok but nothing that we would return for. There is better value and quality elsewhere... Is a great location though.”

Another Trip Advisor Contributor “Sarey86” disliked La Tentation because it is “Expensive and bland.”

“Such a disappointment. Great location (right on the waterfront) and wonderful staff. But the food is really expensive and tasteless. I had vegetarian ravioli that was gelatinous and seemed to be missing its filling - smothered in a chilli sauce that tasted like it came out of a sweet chilli bottle. Cost 26AU. Total bummer.”
