Planning Your Trip to Vanuatu

If you are getting ready for your first break at our accommodation Port Vila Vanuatu, take a look at the quick tips below to ensure your trip runs smoothly.

Getting Here

The country’s airline, Air Vanuatu, flies to Port Vila, Efate from Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Nadi and Noumea, while Virgin Australia offers flights from the rest of Australia. Most people won’t require a visa if they’re staying less than one month, although guests at our accommodation Vanuatu should be aware that you will need to show onward tickets.

Getting Around

Exploring Vanuatu is easy during your stay at our accommodation Port Vila Vanuatu. There are more than 150 flight services a week to 18 of the country’s most interesting and beautiful islands. There are four flights a day from Port Vila to Espiritu Santo, and three to Tanna Island. Travelling between island by boat is time consuming and less common, although if you have the time, it is worth doing for the experience and gorgeous views you will encounter.

What to Pack

Although the weather can be overcast, the sun is deceptively strong in Vanuatu and it is important to come prepared with a zinc sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. If you plan to explore the country’s inviting waters a pair of reef shoes is recommended to protect your feet from sharp pieces of coral (these are available very cheaply at shops close to our holiday resort Vanuatu).
