Staying Connected on Your Vanuatu Holiday

Vanuatu may feel like a far flung exotic paradise, but you’ll have no trouble staying connected with the people that matter during your stay at our holiday resort Vanuatu. Here’s everything you need to know about keeping in touch during your break.

Telephone

Phoning home? Just hit 00 and then dial the country code and number. You’ll find plenty of public telephones dotted around, including at airports and post offices. It’s also possible to purchase local SIMs and pre-paid phone cards from the shops and post offices in Port Vila. Mobile coverage is good throughout Efate.

Internet

If you need to use the internet while you’re out and about, you can make use of several internet cafés in Port Vila, which is just a short drive from our holiday resort Vanuatu.

Post

It takes around 7 days to send a postcard home from Vanuatu by Airmail. There are post offices in Port Vila, Luganville and Espiritu Santo, which are open from early morning to early evening. You can also send a novelty underwater postcard on a scuba dive adventure from Hideaway Island and from the active volcano at Tanna Island.

TV and Media

Local TV broadcasts in French and English, and several bars close to our accommodation Vanuatu offer a large screen for major sporting events. Newspapers in English are readily available in Port Vila.
