Travelling To Vanuatu For The First Time? Read This First

If you’re planning a trip to our holiday resort Vanuatu for the first time, here’s the lowdown on the essential information you need to know, from visas to the weather.

Visas

Every guest at our Port Vila accommodation must posses a passport which is valid for at least another 6 months and be able to show an onward ticket. If you’re a British Commonwealth national or live in a country in the EU you won’t need an entry visa. Once you’ve arrived in Vanuatu, you are permitted an initial stay of a maximum of 30 days, which can be extended to 4 months either prior to your holiday or once you’re here.

Weather

Weather can make or break your holiday. Luckily for guests at our holiday resort Vanuatu, the country has something to offer all year round. Here’s a closer look at the climate conditions you can expect, depending on the time of year you’re planning to visit.

May–Jul: This is high season: it’s pleasantly warm, and there’s generally very little rainfall. It’s at this time of year that the iconic Pentecost’s land diving festival takes place, so don’t forget to check it out if you’re visiting our accommodation Port Vila Vanuatu.

Aug–Oct: Enjoy long, hot, balmy sunny days on Vanuatu’s gorgeous white beaches.

Nov–Mar: It’s wet season and big cyclones are known to hit the islands this time of year. Accommodation is easily available and may be cheaper but be warned that transport around the islands may be delayed.
