What to bring on Holiday - A Vanuatu Packing Guide

If you’re travelling to Vanuatu for the first time, you probably have a few questions about what you should pack. Here’s our guide to some of the obvious and not-so-obvious things you should bring with you to make the most of your time at our accommodation Port Vila Vanuatu.

Although Vanuatu rarely gets really hot, the tropical sun can cause burn easily if you don’t protect yourself. Stop sunburn getting in the way of a good time by packing a supply of high SPF sunscreen large enough to last you your whole break at our Port Vila Resort. A cream containing zinc is the safest bet for protecting sensitive ears, lips and noses.

Underwater Camera

There are so many beautiful sights to see just under the surface of Vanuatu’s waters that it would be a shame not to capture a few memories to share with those back home. Packing a disposable underwater camera will help add something a little different to your holiday photos and social media snaps.

Insect Repellent

Malaria medication is unnecessary for those travelling to our accommodation Port Vila Vanuatu, but since it is a humid country, insect bites can be a minor annoyance. For your own personal comfort we recommend bringing along some insect repellent to ward off pesky bugs.

An Umbrella

Vanuatu is no stranger to storms and showers, particularly during the hot or ‘green’ season. Don’t get caught in a surprise downpour – pack an umbrella just in case! If you forget yours, just ask the friendly staff at our holiday resort Vanuatu, we’ll be happy to loan one out.

Slip on Shoes

A cheap pair of comfortable, slip-on shoes will help protect your feet throughout a host of Vanuatu activities, from reef exploring to waterfall abseiling and much more. Don’t worry if you don’t have anything suitable though, you’re sure to find something in the affordable shops in Port Vila.
